Vincent J. Cupo

Vincent, 93, of Rochelle Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Before retiring in 1994, Vincent worked for Hoffman LaRoche in marketing and finance. He was an Army veteran who served our country proudly during the Korean War. Vincent was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the NJ Distinguished Service Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. He was a life member of American Legion Post 170, Rochelle Park, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3484 of Saddle Brook, and Korean War Veterans Taejon Chapter 170 of Saddle Brook. Vincent served as color guard sergeant, past president, and member of the Garden State Harmonica Club of Maywood. He also volunteered as an music therapist at HUMC in pediatrics from 2000 - 2016, playing over 4,900 hours; the healing power of music is unlimited. He was distinguished as a Bergen Co. Volunteer of the Year in 2006.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee Pellegrino). "She is the sweetest, considerate, most giving and understanding wife a man could ever hope for. I had to go first, I would not have it any other way." Devoted father of Vincent and his wife Marie Cupo, Karen and her husband Frank Brenneisen, and Lisa and her husband Anthony Pedulla. Cherished grandfather of Angela and Adam Wiseman, Vincent-Michael and his fiancée Sheena Cummings, Lindsey, Daniela, Alexa, Nicholas, Christina and Aidan; and great-grandfather of Sophia, Eliana and Penelope. Loyal brother of Daniel and his wife Dianne Cupo. Pre-deceased by siblings Joan Cleary, Frank Cupo, Anne Sarnatora and Anthony Cupo. Dear uncle and friend to all his nieces and nephews.
