Bernard Lyons

Bernard, 80, known affectionately as Bernie, Barney, Uncle Ber”nerd” and Uncle B, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021. He was a resident of Paramus and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation Church for 42 years.
Beloved father of Adrienne Cain, Judy Marino and her late husband, Michael. Treasured grandfather to Daniel, Savannah and Olivia. Dearest older brother to the late John Lyons, Eileen Deane and Maureen Mormile. Bernard leaves behind his dear sister-in-law Nancy Lyons, as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bernard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, who served our country proudly for 20 years, first as an aviation mechanic and flight engineer, then retiring as a recruiter. He then spent 20 years with AT&T as a communications technician. Bernard finished up his career as a Microsoft certified technician and consultant. He was a member of American Legion Post 170 in Rochelle Park.
Bernard had an insatiable passion for computers, music, movies, all things "Star Wars" and the New York Yankees. He was also a talented photographer, evident in his extensive photo collection of his world travels, family members and special occasions.
