George Hastings

George J. Hastings, 91, of Lodi, passed away on March 9, 2023. Before retiring he worked for Yellow Freight in Elizabeth, N.J., and was a member of Teamsters Local 641. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War. George was a member of Knights of Columbus #747 in Hackensack and was a 3rd degree Knight. He was also a member of American Legion Post 170 in Rochelle Park. He is preceded in death by his wife Gertrude, his beloved sons George Jr. and Kevin Hastings, and his siblings William Hastings and Dorothy Ziruolo. Beloved father of Robert (wife Linda), and James. Loving grandfather of Robert and wife Kathleen, Gregory and wife Lindsay, Jordan, James Jr., Michael and Kayla. Cherished great-grandfather of Andrew, Eleanor and Zachary. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
