The Hoosier Express Legion Baseball team is associated with Post 242 in Santa Claus, Ind. Team manager Jay Burch – athletic director at Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, who himself played Legion ball for the Newburgh team – says the team has been around for several years. At first put together by a coalition of three nearby posts, it is more associated with Santa Claus today.

Also, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler grew up in Santa Claus, and played Legion ball for the Rockport Post 254 team.

Post 242 is conveniently located across from the entrance to the famed Holiday World amusement park.
