The perfect venue

During the convention in Reno, Legionnaires and their families will be housed at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, Peppermill Casino Resort, Grand Sierra Resort, Silver Legacy Resort Casino and Circus Circus Reno hotels. Each of these hotels has event space that can be used for meetings, luncheons and other special events, but Reno offers additional venues that are within shuttle or walking distance from the hotels and provide some unique experiences for attendees.

National Bowling Stadium

Located just across the street from the Reno Events Center, the National Bowling Stadium has 65,000 square feet of open space which is adaptable to many configurations. Every event from small dinner parties to large galas can be been held on the large concourse. D.J. and live band stages, dance floors and bistro-style seating are all available options. Groups can also opt to include bowling on some of the 78 professional lanes as part of their event.

Groups of 50 to 150 can enjoy the royal treatment at the Kingpin Club at the National Bowling Stadium. This party venue features 10 professional bowling lanes, a full bar and multiple HD flat screens.

The Stadium Club offers a more intimate ambience for smaller gatherings. Antique mirrors, a 1912 Brunswick Regent Billiard table and a Brunswick Belmont Mohogany bar built in 1896 for the Chicago World’s Fair, take you back in time as you take in the view of the downtown corridor. The Stadium Club can be used for meetings, cocktail parties or small dinners for up to 40 people.

Other spaces are available for business meetings or presentations, including a 4,500 square foot room overlooking the Reno Aces Ballpark. The 172-seat theater is perfect for the smaller business video presentation. The four story high screen is accompanied by a six-channel digital sound system. For larger groups, the world’s largest video wall is available for video or slide presentations. A luxury spectator seating section can seat 1,100.

National Automobile Museum

This museum along the downtown Riverwalk that houses the famed automobile collection of Bill Harrah is also a unique venue that offers guests a peek at exceptional vehicles, period street settings with great photo opportunities and vintage clothing displays as backdrop for an event. Fully equipped for receptions, luncheons and ceremonies, the National Automobile Museum can accommodate groups from 60 to 1,200. There is even  a 157-seat theatre with the latest projection and sound technology, and a 10x19 high-definition screen. Catering services are provided by Silver Peak Restaurant, Brewery and Catering and parking is free.

Freight House District

The entertainment venue attached to Greater Nevada Field is a collection of restaurants, open-air patios and traditional event spaces that combine to make for a memorable event even if it’s not game day.

Arroyo Mexican Grill, Bugsy’s Sport Bar & Grill, Duffy’s Ale House and the 250 Lounge are all restaurant-style venues offering full bar service and flexible seating set-ups. These venues can accommodate from 100 to 175 guests, and are available year-round.

For outdoor events, the Heineken Stage at the Center Bar can accommodate groups as small as 50 or as large as 1,000 for events, presentations or performances. The views of the Reno Aces playing field and downtown Reno make it a spectacular venue regardless of whether it’s game day. On non-game days, the Rotunda Entrance and Concourse offer other options at the field level for a small group of 50 or cocktails for 1,500.

The Infield, Warning Track, Clubhouse, Batting Cages and Fantasy Batting Practice are venues built for baseball enthusiasts. Available only on non-game days, this access to the players-only areas of the field makes a team-building celebration memorable. The Infield and Warning Track can be configured for 500-1000, while The Clubhouse can accommodate 200.

The Nevada Museum of Art

The Nevada Museum of Art offers a sophisticated setting designed by award-winning architect Will Bruder and inspired by the Black Rock Desert with service for groups up to 500. A penthouse and patio space with retractable glass walls and ceiling, a soaring 4,000 square foot atrium, a 180-seat theatre with digital Dolby 5.1 audio and executive meeting spaces give plenty of options.
