Post 47 in Waynesville, N.C., sponsored the local Wreaths Across America program. For months, post members conducted fundraising, advertising and planning for the event; and with the help of over 60 volunteers from the community, placed wreaths on the graves of 525 veterans buried at Greenhill Cemetery in Waynesville as part of National Wreath Laying Day Dec. 15. It was a very special day as we remembered and honored some very special people.
