Looking for information on brother KIA in Germany in 1944

I had a brother, Joseph W. Hopp, PFC AS33559277, who was shot and killed by a sniper in Germany on Nov. 5, 1944. He is buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery at Margraten, Plot 11, Row 21, Grave 25. I, along with my wife and daughters, have visited his grave in 2013 and 2015. During our 2015 visit we had the privilege to meet the adopter of the grave, Remy Geurts, and his family.

Joseph was a member of the Fighting Ozarks, 406 Infantry, 102 Division. I am curious if anyone was in the same locations as Joseph, or actually knew of him, and would be willing to share their memories with me. He played on several camp baseball teams, and was apparently pretty good according to camp newspaper articles.

1943: Joseph enlists in the Army
May: Camp Joseph T. Robinson in North Little Rock, Ark.
June: Overseas Replacement Department, Greensboro, N.C.
August: The Citadel, Charleston, S.C.
September - February 1944: George Washington University Army Special Training Program, Washington, D.C.
February - June: Camp Swift, Texas
August: Fort Dix, N.J.
Sept. 23: the Ozarks arrive in Cherbourg, France
Nov. 1: the Ozarks enter Geilenkirchen, Germany

I appreciate any information you can offer. Thank you.
