American Legion Post 166 honor guard teaches flag respect to school kids

The honor guard of American Legion Post 166 in Goose Creek, S.C., was asked by Devon Forest Elementary School to schedule a visit for flag training.
Our honor guard captain, Michael Thomas (center/rear) along with guard member Lewis Harper and Past Post Commander Don Pace, were happy to provide this training.
Training consisted of raising/lowering the flag of our country as well as the South Carolina state (palmetto) flag, followed by proper folding technique.
Our honor guard members certainly take pride in helping the future leaders of this country learn respect for the flag and other patriotic symbols our country holds dear.
These children will certainly grow up to become the leaders of tomorrow.
We look forward to helping to forge a path of patriotism for our local young people whenever we can!
