The Essman-Schroeder American Legion Post 20 (Waterford, Wis.) Honor/Color Guard provides military honors at 10 local area cemeteries. We march in two parades, and participate in three bridge ceremonies. Then we join in with many area residents to listen to speakers honoring our fallen comrades and currently serving men and women. The Memorial Day parade and program in the Waterford and Rochester area is the longest consecutively running celebration in Wisconsin. 150 years. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was once again there to help with the honors. I am proud to say that Ryan stood with our Honor Guard members for a picture.
