Honoring those who lost their lives on 9/11

On Sept. 11, 2001, almost 3,000 people lost their lives during the attacks at the Twin Towers, Pentagon and aboard United Airlines Flight 93. At 8:46 a.m. ET, American Airlines Flight 11 (traveling from Boston to Los Angeles) hit the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. At 9:03 a.m. ET, United Airlines Flight 175 (traveling from Boston to Los Angeles) hit the south tower. At 9:37 a.m. ET, American Airlines Flight 77 (traveling from Dulles, Va., to Los Angeles) hit the Pentagon in Washington. And at 10:03 a.m. ET, United Airlines Flight 93 (traveling from Newark, N.J., to San Francisco) crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pa.
Members of American Legion Post 924, Coraopolis VFW Post 402 and VFW Post 402 Auxiliary held a ceremony in front of Post 402 marking the moment each plane hit its target.
