The American Legion is founded on four pillars: Americanism, National Defense, Veterans Rehabilitation, and Children and Youth. The Legion in its Preamble specifically calls out to maintain law and order, and through this program we recognize the law and order of our local community. One of the children and youth programs the post is involved with is American Legion Baseball, and the post and guests heard from our baseball team manager James Goard, who provided a synopsis of their season and that next year the baseball program will have Junior and Senior teams. The American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization and is open to all veterans and active-duty personnel who have served or serve since December 7, 1941.
