Post 506 celebrates 75th anniversary

At a ceremony conducted at Crowley City Hall on April 28, 2022, Doris “Dorie” Miller Post 506 of The American Legion, Department of Louisiana, from Crowley celebrated the 75th (diamond) anniversary of their founding in 1947. In addition, charter member Nelson Joseph Arceneaux was recognized for his 75 years of continuous membership and service to The American Legion.
Participating in the ceremony, and pictured from left to right, are Tim Monceaux (Crowley mayor), Edward Hudson Sr. (7th District judge advocate), Grace Dalton (7th District sergeant-at-arms), Early Henry (Post 506 ,ember), Don Brackins (Post 506 adjutant), Richard Bell Sr. (Department of Louisiana commander), Glenn McFarlain (7th District commander) and Orlando Wilson (Post 506 member).
