Child Advocacy and Crawfish

Child Advocacy and Crawfish

Houma, Louisiana: On April 21, 2018, Lenox Hotard American Legion Post 31 spent the day doing what everyone enjoys in spring in South Louisiana, cooking and eating crawfish. Although this was not a normal Cajun crawfish boil. There were over 100 teams paying their entry fees and cooking their special mix of crawfish for all of those who came out to enjoy a variety of recipes. All of this was done to support Terrebonne Parish's Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children. The leader of American Legion Post 31's cooking team was Nick Eschete, Junior Vice Commander. The secret recipe for Post 31 was not selected as the winner, but the day was beautiful, the Post 31 Legion Family had a great time and we met some more great civic-minded citizens. We will get our recipe adjusted and be ready for next year.
