Buckeye Girls State delegate honored by Northeast Post 630

American Legion Northeast Post 630 honored their 2021 Buckeye Girls State representative, Katrina Schneider, at their business meeting on Nov. 6, 2021. Katrina talked to post members about her experiences at the convention and what insights she gained. She explained how the program worked, what her role was and her interaction with other delegates. Her comments about the program were very positive and complimentary. Katrina received a framed certificate from Post 630 to commemorate her participation in the program. She is a student at Sycamore High School.
American Legion Buckeye Girls State is a weeklong program designed to educate Ohio’s young women in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of good citizenship. By getting involved in the process, delegates learn about city, county and state government. The program is usually held the second or third week of June.
