Dozens of volunteers participated in the annual Flag Retirement Ceremony hosted by American Legion Post 104-Warren, R.I. The Warren Fire Department was on hand as a safety precaution. Scouts provided a Color Guard, and many other students, parents and patriotic citizens inspected thousands of flags prior to the burning ritual.
