During a recent visit to the great State of New Hampshire, National Commander Clarence Hill had the opportunity to reach new heights. On Saturday, September 12, 2009, Commander Hill joined NEC John Neylon, Alternate NEC Roland Patnode, Department Adjutant Dave Meaney and National Commanders Aide Larry White to ride up the Cog Railway to the top of Mount Washington, the highest point on the East Coast of the United States. It is a 40 minute trip to the top via the railway. The return trip is made 30 minutes later and again takes 40 minutes. The weather which had been crystal clear for 2 weeks prior to the visit changed the day of the visit and the top was socked in. On a clear day you can see 5 states and Canada.
