"SHE SERVED SHE DESERVES" CELEBRATING WOMENS HISTORY MONTH IN SAVANNAH GEORGIA!!

American Legion Post 135 Savannah Georgia hosted the first ever event honoring the service of Georgia Women Veterans here at our beautiful Historic Post 13 5. To say the least - it was a huge success!!! With over 225 attending, 5 media outlets and assistance from other posts - IT WAS A HOME RUN!!!

Listed below are the links to the event and the media coverage. The Department of Georgia can be proud to know that District 1 set yet another standard for the Posts in honoring the women veterans of Georgia!! Huge thanks goes to first -
The Department of Georgia for starting and supporting Team A.L.F.A.
Savannah VET center for teaming up with me, Deborah Kessler District Adjutant, in bringing this whole event together.
Also to the District Reps that came, Post 184 Honor Guard, and Hunter Army Airfield Band.
But another huge thanks goes to the Brig. General Lori Reynolds CG of MCRD PI for being our guest speaker!!! Again, thank you for all you do and the support you give to all Veterans!!
