National WWI centennial commission needs Fleet Week help

The United States World War One Centennial Commission is partnering with the U.S. Navy for the 2019 New York City Fleet Week in late May. A special spotlight will be on the centennial of the war.

According to VSO/Military Director David Hamon, the commission is seeking Legionnaire volunteers to help staff information tables at Pier 88, the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal and Rockefeller Center. They will provide souvenir polo shirts, lunch and training.

Anyone interested can contact Hamon at (540) 379-8584 or david.hamon@worldwar1centennial.org. Visit the commission's Fleet Week page at ww1cc.org/fleetweek
