The Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs (ODVA) continues to build better lives for military veterans, spouses, and their families living in Oregon. From helping veterans obtain earned medals and military awards to filing claims for education benefits, ODVA is here with you every step of the way.
The wide array of programs and services are provided by a grateful nation and state.
Oregon Senate Concurrent Resolution Number 2, passed in 1943, said, in part, “. . . it would not be fitting that those who remained at home should by reason thereof gain economic advantage over our patriotic defenders.” The resolution continued, “Let it be in the declared policy of the State of Oregon to place our returning military and naval forces as nearly as possible on the same economic equality as those who remained at home.”
More than 375 years after the Plymouth colony first cared for its veterans, the United States continues to provide the best possible care for our greatest assets.
