After the Army, Titus returned to his hometown of Lowell, Massachusetts in the spring of 1948 and later that fall would come his Thanksgiving Day Miracle of scoring all 20 points in the Thanksgiving Day game against Lawrence. Lowell won the game 20-19 with Titus scoring with 4 seconds left and kicking the winning extra point. Lowell had its first undefeated season in history dating back to 1890.

Dr. Titus Plomaritis has been member of The American Legion for 30 continuous years. He is a member of Post 100 in Pelham. He is the third born of seven children from immigrant parents during the 1920's and 1930's depression years. At the age of 17 Titus joined the army and became a paratrooper, seeing action in occupied Japan.
