Here are inspiring stories of love and courage. The heroes in this book are not only the incredibly brave dogs and their handlers who together lead the way into battle, but also the volunteers - civilian and military - who raise the puppies until 7 months, the veterinary teams and the kennel support crew. All of them are fiercely dedicated to the sacred mission of protecting our troops in the struggle against terror. My photojournalist wife Leslie and I had a wonderful time researching and writing this book. We believe that you will enjoy it, too.
