On May 13, volunteers from American Legion Post 58, their Auxiliary, VFW post 7507 and Fire Rock Country Club packed freshly-cooked dinners for those veterans in need of a hot meal due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The dinner included chicken piccata, vegetables, bread and dessert. Post 58 delivered numerous meals to veterans as they drove up in their vehicles to avoid contact to maintain social distancing. Sergeant at Arms, Tom Weaver, can be seen handing the food to the veterans.
