Memorial Day

It is Memorial Day what more can I say
but give thanks to the past present future
Men and Women in uniform that make this the
land of the free and the home of the brave

Today I look around and think how lucky can
I be
Then I realize it was all made possible by
the Men and Women that died for me

They never knew if they would live or die
they had a job to do and they did it and
never asked why

We celebrate Memorial Day once a year we
give thanks to all the Veterans that in our
hearts we hold so dear

It may have been a Father Mother Brother Sister
a friend or somebody you didn't even know

It may have been in the Jungle the hot desert
sand or the cold winter snow when asked they
never hesitated and did not know the word no

These Veterans are people that I have been
so blessed to know
I want to thank there men and women and let
then know they have been in our hearts then
now and tomorrow

A VERERAN
