Looking out for America's future

The American Legion's fourth annual National Children & Youth Conference will be held Sept. 17-19 at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel.

The three-day event will discuss the Legion's youth programs, such as the Child Welfare Foundation, as well as feature presentations and appearances from five outside organization's that the Legion has relationships with: Children's Organ Transplant Association, Operation Military Kids, Special Olympics, Children's Miracle Network and American Legion Children's Home. Additionally, many boys and girls will provide personal accounts on the impact the featured youth program's have had on their lives. And new to the conference this year is a presentation from former professional wrestler, Marc Mero, regarding his organization, Champion of Choices. Mero's organization is focused on empowering young adults and at-risk youth to make positive choices and to take control of the choices they make.
