Women Veterans Monuments at Veterans' Park

Women Veterans Monuments at Veterans' Park

The idea for the Women Veterans Monuments at Veterans’ Park was conceived under the leadership of County Commissioner Carolyn Ketchel, who advocated for giving well-deserved recognition to the women who have served the United States. The intent was to honor women who have served and made significant contributions in the U.S. military throughout history. Currently, eight monuments represent women who have served, from the Revolutionary War to current-day conflicts.
