Charlie Wade Seay

Charlie Seay passed away in his son's home on July 18, 2014, after a battle with lung cancer. He was enlisted with the U.S. Marine Corps (Korean War) and was a life member of The American Legion. Survivors include his son and wife Harold and Susan Seay of Smethport, Pa., son and wife Daryl and Lacie Seay of Slocomb, Ala., three grandchildren, Hayden, Gavin and Calie, three sisters, Merle Harris, Lois McNeil and Bernice Tate, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Shelley and Ruth Seay, wife Fredricka Seay, brothers Doris Seay, Jerry Seay and John Seay, and a grandson, Camdyn Seay. Charlie was well known and loved by the community he lived in (Slocomb), where he was a deputy sheriff and small business owner and where he spent much of his earlier life following his military service (Emporium, Pa.), where he served as a police officer and local business owner. Charlie's most proudly shared life experiences were of his time serving in the Marine Corps. Viewing for family and friends at Sorrell's Funeral Home in Slocomb on July 21, and funeral services July 22 at the same location.
