THE INTERVIEW After being severely injured while serving in Afghanistan in 2005, doctors gave Israel Del Toro a 20% chance of survival. Israel not only survived, but endured years of skin grafts, surgeries and brutal physical therapy and in 2010 became the first 100% disabled veteran to re-enlist in the Air Force.
