Emergency Preparedness Coalition Drill in Prince George's County

TALARC member Doug Lindsey (KZ3H) staffed the Prince George's County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) amateur radio station during the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) Emergency Preparedness Coalition Drill on April 2. This drill, held quarterly, is desiged to test the emergency communications capabilities of the Prince George's County Health Department and the six county hospitals.

During the two-hour Emergency Preparedness Coalition Drill in Prince George’s County, Md., on April 2, Ken Greenhouse (KB3IIE) of  the American Legion Post 275 Amateur Radio Team (N3TAL) acted as a sub-net control station that sent and recieved voice and data message traffic to four other county facilities using amateur radio frequencies and equipment.
