Mike,

I cannot help but wonder why the VHPA, an association of military combat veterans, would EVER opt to hold a national convention in a city that continues to take every opportunity to degrade the military. Does the VHPA condone the actions that for years have been taken by the city of San Francisco or is it that you have over looked their actions simply due to the money the VHAP can put in its coffers?

Have we forgotten what city led the antiwar movement in the 60s and 70s and continue to slam the military at every opportunity? They recently refused to let the Marine Corps film a recruiting commercial within the city limits and their Senator, Dianne Feinstein, comments on veterans might have PTSD that the government should “find a way that veterans who are incapacitated for one reason or another mentally, don’t have access to this kind of weapon."
I am a proud veteran combat pilot who served in Southeast Asia. I find it very difficult however to have any pride in the organization that seems so oblivious to what their actions condone. Asking us to assist the VHPA in putting revenue into the city of San Francisco is a slap in the face of every American solider, airman, sailor and marine.
