New Jersey expanding Boots to Business workshops

The American Legion Department of New Jersey has announced it is conducting a series of Boots to Business Reboot workshops throughout the state from early August through the fall. This comes on the heels of the department hosting its first such workshop May 11-12 in Rochelle Park.

Boots to Business workshops provide free entrepreneurship training and advice from business experts from the Small Business Administration, veterans outreach centers and business counseling services. Each one-day course also includes an eight-week online course for veterans wanting to start, expand or purchase a small business.

Workshops are scheduled for the following dates and cities:

• Aug. 2, American Legion Post 129, Toms River.

• Sept. 13 – Post 295, Northfield.

• Oct. 25, Post 281, Blackwood.

• Nov. 7, Post 279, Lincoln Park.

Registration now is underway for the Aug. 2 workshop, which will take place from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The registration deadline is July 26; to register, click here.
