January's job fairs

Here’s a look at upcoming career fairs for veterans, servicemembers and military spouses:

Jan. 23: Patuxent River Job Fair. 3-7 p.m., includes 1-2 resume seminars. Bay District Vol. Fire Dept. Social Hall, 46900 S. Shangri-La Drive, Lexington Park, Md.

Jan. 23-24: Fort Stewart Transition Summit. This two-day transition summit will feature interactive and informative panel discussions, recruiter training, and facilitated discussions focused on improving competitive employment for service members, veterans, and military spouses. The summit will also include a networking reception for employers, military leaders, and job seekers, and will culminate in a hiring fair on the second day. Club Stewart, 1020 Hero Road, Fort Stewart, Ga.

Jan. 23: Oklahoma City Hiring Expo with the Oklahoma City Thunder. 9:30-11 a.m., Career Connections workshop; 11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair. All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Thunder and the Brooklyn Nets. Chesapeake Energy Arena, 100 W. Reno Avenue, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Jan. 25: Andrews AFB Chiefs Group Job Fair. 10 a.m.-2 p.m., includes 2 free resume seminars. The Club at Andrews, 1889 Arnold Avenue, Joint Base Andrews, Md.
