March job fairs, coast to coast

Here’s a look at some of the career events scheduled in March for servicemembers, veterans and military spouses:

March 5: Dallas Hiring Expo with the Dallas Stars.

  • 9:30-11 a.m., career connections workshop.

  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair, mock interviews and resume review.

  • This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Dallas Stars and the New York Rangers.

  • American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave., Dallas.

March 6: Naval Submarine Base New London Military Spouse Hiring Fair.

  • 8:45-9:45 a.m., career planning workshop.

  • 10 a.m.-1 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

  • USS Nautilus Museum, 1 Crystal Lake Road, Groton, Conn.

March 9: Detroit Military Hiring Fair.

  • 9-9:30 a.m., job seeker registration

  • 9:30-10:30 a.m., workshop

  • 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m., resume review

  • 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., hiring fair

  • This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • Detroit VA Medical Center, 4646 John R St., Detroit.

March 19: Minneapolis Hiring Expo with the Minnesota Wild.

  • 9:30-11 a.m., career connections workshop.

  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Minnesota Wild and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

  • Xcel Energy Center, 199 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul, Minn.

March 19-20: Joint Base Lewis McChord Military Spouse Hiring Event.

  • Tuesday: 7-9 p.m., networking reception.

  • Wednesday: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

  • American Lake Conference Center, 8085 NCO Beach Road, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.

March 20: Fort Leavenworth Military Spouse Networking Reception.

  • 5:30-7:30 p.m., networking reception.

  • This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

  • JW Crancers, 530 Delaware St., Leavenworth, Kan.

March 26: Herndon Job Fair.

  • 2-6 p.m., job fair.

  • Cyber, IT, intelligence, tech professionals, security, public trust clearances are invited.

  • Security University, 510 Spring St., Herndon, Va.

March 27: Chicago Hiring Expo with the Chicago Bulls.

  • 9:30-11 a.m., career connections workshop.

  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • All registered veteran and military spouse job seekers who attend the hiring expo are eligible to receive up to two free tickets to attend the evening's game between the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

  • United Center, 1901 W. Madison St., Chicago.

March 28: Carlisle Barracks Military Spouse Hiring Fair.

  • 9 a.m.-1 p.m., hiring fair.

  • This event is free and is open to all military spouses (active duty, veteran, reserve, Guard, and/or Gold Star) as well as military spouse-ready employers and service organizations. Servicemembers and veterans are also welcome.

  • Carlisle Expo Center, 100 K St., Carlisle, Pa.

March 28: Dahlgren Job Fair.

  • 3-7 p.m., job fair.

  • Free resume seminars will be available from 3-7 p.m.

  • University of Mary Washington-Dahlgren Campus, 4224 University Drive, University Hall/Room 110, King George, Va.

March 29: North Florida Veterans Career Connection.

  • 9-9:15 a.m., job seeker registration

  • 9:15-10 a.m., Employment 2019: realities, challenges & opportunities

  • 10-11 a.m., interactive panel discussion: perspectives on transition

  • 11 a.m.-noon, LinkedIn for veterans and military spouses

  • Noon-1 p.m., lunch and transition to hiring fair

  • 1-3 p.m., hiring fair

  • This event is free and is open to all student veterans, active-duty servicemembers, Guard and Reserve, veterans and military spouses.

  • DeVoe L. Moore University Center, 288 Champions Way, Tallahassee, Fla.
