Legion announces employment excellence awards

The American Legion’s Veterans Employment and Education Commission announced the 2015 national award winners for excellence in veterans’ employment during the Legion’s 98th National Convention in Cincinnati.

The annual awards program was established in 1947 and recognizes companies and individuals that support and employ veterans throughout the country for each calendar year. Two of this year’s awards, Employer of Veterans Award in the large company category and the Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program Specialist of the Year, were presented Aug. 31 at convention.
