Convention updates: Aug. 31

On this second-to-last day of the national convention, a number of breakfasts, and a credentialing summit focusing on the trucking industry conducted by the Veterans Employment & Education Division will take place alongside the second day of the general session. Wednesday’s summit will feature, among others:

- an address by VA Secretary Denis McDonough;

- the presentation of the Law Enforcement Officer and Firefighter of the Year awards;

- a fireside chat with Chip Ganassi Racing, and another on veteran suicide;

- Legion national commission reports;

- and department awards.
