Today at the national convention: Aug. 29

The general session of the 104th American Legion National Convention begins on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C., including the presentation of the 2023 youth champions and Spirit of Service winners, American Legion award recipients, greetings from many dignitaries and National Commander Vincent J. Troiola’s report to the convention. The general session will be streamed live on Facebook and via legion.org.

Veterans and Trucking Certification Task Force Meeting & Reception: Westin Charlotte, Providence Ballroom, Section III, 1st Floor, 1 p.m. 

Western Caucus: Charlotte Convention Center (CCC), Room 218, Meeting Level, 2:30 p.m.

National Commander's Banquet (ticket required): CCC, Crown Ballroom, Meeting Level, 6:30 p.m.
