Announcements: American Legion membership eligibility dates revision was read verbatim: extending American Legion membership to any veteran who had honorable service from Dec 7, 1941, to a date to be determined in the future. This opens membership and American Legion benefits to an additional 4+ million veterans. The LEGION Act changed the eligibility dates from seven to two, subject to the same limitations and restrictions as in use before this change.

EchoLink Conference Node “TALARC” open at all times for communication use.

Other nets were discussed. All nets can be seen, as well as the net reports, by going to www.legion.org/hamradio.

If you have a digital voice-capable radio D-Star, C4FM, Wires-X or DMR, and would like to join next Thursday’s net, all information can be found at www.openquad.net. NOTE: The C4FM reflector will not be operational till mid-September due to its being moved from its current location in NM to TX. C4FM can still be used thru an OpenSpot-type device.

For God and Country
