Fred Manke

Fred passed away on Nov. 27, 2013, at Lake Crystal, Minn. He was 90. He served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II from June 1943 to July 1946. He was a corporal with the amphibian tank division, serving in the South Pacific on the Mariana Islands of Saipan and Guam. He was very proud to be a Marine! He also served his community by being scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 131 of Lake Crystal for 15 years and received his Beaver Scout Award. He also held several positions in the Twin Valley Council of the Boy Scouts.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed.
