Carl Knappe

Our uncle Carl Knappe, who resided in Big Spring, Texas, passed away on March 29, 2015.
Carl was a long-living disabled World War II veteran born on Jan. 10, 1925.
He was a proud naval veteran, a proud American and a proud Texan until the day he passed. He loved his country, his family, his hometown, and especially the folks at the American Legion post in Big Spring. We had the honor of greeting many of his friends at the Legion and raised a toast the day of his funeral, April 3, 2015. He was buried in Big Spring with full naval honors. Uncle Carl was 90 years young and lived a joyful life after the war.
