Kenneth Raymond Coats

Kenneth Raymond “Kenny” Coats, 72, of Orrick, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at his home.
Kenny was born on Dec. 3, 1942, in Orrick to Tyrus Raymond and Hortence (Woods) Coats. He married Barbra F. Wright of Malta Bend, Mo., on Dec. 17, 1966. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Kenicia Rahn Coats of Orrick; one sister, Dorothy M. Essig of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Edwin Lee “Eddie” Essig and Robert Arland Wright, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Wright.
Kenny worked in the multi-level department of Ford Motor Company for 30 years before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 249. Kenny was a member of the Rock Falls Baptist Church. He was also a member of The American Legion. He had lived in Ray County most of his life. He loved playing the banjo and loved to hunt and fish.














