Edward Wilczynski

Saddle Brook - Edward "Ed" Anthony Wilczynski, 84, of Saddle Brook, passed away on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Before retiring he worked as a district manager for Off Track Betting in New York. Once retired he joined the family business Eds Tavern in Saddle Brook. He was part of the Saddle Brook Kiwanis Club. Ed was dedicated to serving his community; he strongly believed in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and hosted numerous fundraisers for them. He served in the Korean War and played football for the United States Air Force
Cherished husband of Marie Wilczynski (nee Hall). Loving father of Edward Wilczynski, Barbara Sciolaro, Cathy Wilczynski, Janice Carson and her husband Bill, Mike Wilczynski, Lisa Puglisi, Linda Ritchie and her husband Tim, and the late Mary Wilczynski Gallagher. Devoted grandfather of 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial visitation in Ed's honor will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Saddle Brook VFW, 44 Market Street, Saddle Brook.
Arrangements are entrusted to Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Edward Anthony Wilczynski's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
