John Moran

John W. 74, of Paramus, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. Born in Hoboken and raised in River Edge, he resided in Paramus for 40 years. A 1962 graduate of River Dell High School in Oradell, he earned his BS degree in secondary education from Dominican College in Blauvelt, N.Y. John was a member of American Legion Post 170, Rochelle Park, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3484, Saddle Brook. John served his country in the United States Army.
He was president of the Dumont Men's Evening Softball league for many years. John worked for PSE&G for seven years, then worked in sales and as bartender at Yorshire Inn/ Feo's in Oradell. John also became VP of Paramus Little League in the late '80s and '90s. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth Spring and Summer leagues as well as soccer and junior wrestling.
Married for 50 years to his beloved wife, Marilyn (nee Sapnar). Loving son of the late John and Marie Moran. Devoted father of Christopher (Amanda) and Kevin. Adored grandfather of Jayden and Jaxyn. Dear brother of Theresa Moran and Michael (Fiona) Moran Thomas Moran (Marcella) and Vincent Moran. John also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
