Five Things to Know, March 28, 2022

1.   Over the weekend, President Biden hinted at regime change in Moscow, saying Russian President Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power," then backed off the comments a day later. Still, the comments created a political firestorm as Russia continued its attack on Ukraine.

2.   Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he is ready to accept a neutral status as part of a peace deal with Russia but any agreement would have to be put to the Ukrainian people in a referendum.

3.   A new museum to honor the nation's Medal of Honor recipients held a ground-breaking ceremony on Friday. The National Medal of Honor Museum will be built in Arlington and is expected to open in 2024. Among the attendees: Woody Williams, an American Legion member and the oldest living MOH recipient. 

4.   Early today in North Korea, North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un pledged to continue the “sacred cause” of developing its nuclear arms. Meanwhile, reports suggested the regime was renovating its nuclear test site. However, there were doubts from U.S. and South Korean officials about the North's accuracy of its claims.

5.   The bodies of four Marines who died in a military aircraft crash during a NATO exercise were transferred back to the United States on FridayThe crash killed Capt. Ross A. Reynolds, 27, of Leominster, Mass.; Capt. Matthew J. Tomkiewicz, 27, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Gunnery Sgt. James W. Speedy, 30, of Cambridge, Ohio; and Cpl. Jacob M. Moore, 24, of Catlettsburg, Ky.
