Leno P. Chemelli

Leno P. Chemelli, 92, of Palm Coast, Fla., passed away Dec. 24, 2014. He was born in Kittanning, Pa., on Sept. 3, 1922, and married Joyce E. Peters in May 1945. He served in the Army Air Force for two years (1944-1946). They made their home in Rome, N.Y., where he was employed for over 30 years at Griffiss Air Force Base. Joyce passed away in 1994, and Leno relocated to Flagler Beach in 2001 after previously spending many winters in Largo, Fla. He continued to spend summers at his cottage at Kring Point on the St. Lawrence River through 2010. Recently Leno lived at the Sterling House of Palm Coast.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Eubanks (Robert), two sons, Gary and John, his brother Robert, three grandchildren, and his longtime friend Betty Wright. He was predeceased by his brothers William, Dominic, Charles and Benjamin, and sisters Lena and Rita.
