American Legion Riders
Driven by Purpose, United in Community
The American Legion Riders are a national program built on service, camaraderie, and community impact. Our chapters support The American Legion’s mission through supporting veterans and their families, mentoring youth, and strengthening communities nationwide.
Each year, Riders take that mission on the road through the American Legion Legacy Run, raising critical support for the Veterans & Children Foundation (VCF)—a foundation of hope that steps in when veteran and military families face unexpected hardship.

The American Legion Legacy Run
Since its inception in 2006, our annual event has raised $16 million for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund.
Today, The Legacy Run is focused on fundraising for the Veterans & Children Foundation, which funds American Legion service officer training and provides grants for at-risk minor children of Legionnaires and active-duty military.
More information on the 2026 Legacy Run is coming soon.
