Legion players invited to recruiting seminar

Baseball Factory — the official baseball resource of The American Legion — will help kick off the 2012 Legion World Series by hosting a college recruiting seminar exclusively for Legion Baseball players, parents and coaches. The Aug. 16 event begins at noon at Shelby’s new convention hall, the LeGrand Center, and will be conducted by Steve Sclafani, a former Legion player and CEO/founder of Baseball Factory.

With more than 18 years in the baseball industry, Sclafani will discuss the ins and outs of the college baseball recruiting process, and provide players with information that’s essential for successes at the next level. Visit www.baseballfactory.com/ to learn more about the organization.

Following the seminar is the World Series banquet and a concert from country music duo Montgomery Gentry. And on Aug. 17, game one of the Legion World Series will get under way at 9:30 a.m. (EDT). See the entire schedule here and the pairings bracket here.
