  1. I have tried for months trying to get the medals for my father who served in the Marines during WWII in the Pacific Campaign. We started in June and there is no progress he will be 92 in January and I would like some assistance. We follow procedures and went to Post 19 in Orlando only to find out after my follow-up call that they were not being done for some reason. I immediately contacted Senator Bill Nelson's office and his staff indicated that no paperwork was received by his office. Obviously there is a breakdown somewhere. I contacted Post 19 several times and even indicated if there was a charge for the medals (which was brought to my attention) I said I would pay for them for my father. Personally I feel that should be unnecessary since he was in active service on Guam and Okinawa but if that is what it takes to get this going let's get it going. 404-610-6989
