The 2013 International Conference on World War II will be streamed live online, free of charge, Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 21-23, from New Orleans. Presenters include authors Rick Atkinson, Paul Kennedy and Donald Miller, as well as Gen. David Petraeus, former director of the CIA. Presentations can be viewed online by visiting www.ww2conference.com.

Presented by the National World War II Museum in New Orleans, the conference is titled "1943: Victory in the Balance." Support for the event is provided by the Tawani Foundation in association with Pritzker Military Library, World War II Magazine and Raytheon.

The conference covers a gamut of topics central to the year before the D-Day invasion. Discussions range from the Pacific to Sicily, including a visit to the home front and a discussion of some forgotten allies, including China.

Gen. Petraeus speaks during the closing banquet, 8:15 p.m. – 9 p.m., in a presentation titled "Grappling with the Lessons of History: The Legacy of WWII in Modern Combat and Intelligence."
