National staff will team up with Department of California Legionnaires for a pair of district revitalization efforts.
American Legion national staff and Department of California Legionnaires are teaming up next week for a pair of district revitalizations and veterans outreach efforts in the Shasta and Central Valley areas.
• Shasta: The effort will take place from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 8-9 at Shasta Dam American Legion Post 720, 4309 Vallecito St., Shasta. A county veterans service officer will be available both days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs claims and other veterans benefits questions.
• Central Valley: The effort will take place Feb. 9-11 at the Stanislaus County Veterans Center, 3500 Coffee Road, Modesto. The hours are 4-8 p.m. Feb. 9, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 10 and 9 a.m.-noon Feb. 11. A county veterans service officer will be available both days to assist with Department of Veterans Affairs claims and other veterans benefits questions.
