American Legion billboards popping up

"JOIN THE MISSION" and "LEARN HOW YOU CAN HELP" are two messages displayed on new American Legion billboards with the organization's motto: Veterans Strengthening America.

The billboard campaign is being conducted through 1st Degree Marketing & Public Relations. The billboards can be seen in several states, with more popping up this month.

In January, the billboards were installed in Champaign, Ill.; Utica, N.Y.; Pewaukee, Wis.; Elmira, N.Y.; Kansas City, Mo.; Salt Lake City; Indianapolis; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Baton Rouge, La.

For March, the billboards are being installed in Cleburne, Texas; Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Louisville, Ky; North Providence, R.I.; Greensboro, N.C.; St. Paul, Minn.; Buffalo and Purchase, N.Y.; and Bethlehem, Pa.
