Hundreds of wounded warriors and their families will visit Six Flags Fiesta amusement park in San Antonio on Saturday, thanks to The American Legion’s Operation Comfort Warriors (OCW).

Donations to OCW are being used to help pay for their admission. During the outing, Legionnaires also will distribute gift cards and other door prizes to wounded warriors and their families.

OCW funds are used to supplement the high-quality care provided at most military hospitals and transition units in the United States and abroad. Funds go toward items such as exercise equipment, rehabilitation gear or entertainment.

Every dollar that is donated to OCW goes toward purchasing items for the recovering servicemembers. Administration and other costs are covered by the Legion’s National Headquarters.
