Legacy Run Ride Guide available

The 2011 American Legion Legacy Run Rider Guide and Run Plan is now available for download as a Word document. The booklet includes guides for group riding with or without a police escort, group refueling, safety and run communication.

There also is a section on the route and schedule, including "posse up" points - locations where riders can join the run in progress along the route. To download the booklet, click here.

A goal of raising $450,000 for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund has been established for the 2011 Legacy Run, which will start at Kenneth N. Dowden Wayne Post 64 in Indianapolis on Aug. 21, travel 1,225 miles and finish up on Aug. 25 at Richfield Post 435 in Minneapolis, the site of the 2011 National Convention. Along the way, the contingent of Riders will make stops in Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin, along with stops in Minnesota before arriving in Minneapolis.
